Lot 1246

St. Louis, Louisiana Purchase Exposition, 1904. Large Bronze Prize Medals. Each with same medallic centers of Liberty sheltering the semidraped maiden, Louisiana, on the obverse, and the American eagle and twin flanking dolphins on the reverse. However, shapes range from triangular shield, as preceding lot, to cruciform within square, to U.S. heraldic shield, and circular center medallion only. Medal widths: 2-1/2" - 2-3/4". Lot of 4 pieces. An exceptional set of these rarely offered awards.
Estimated Value $125 - 175.
