Panama-Pacific International Exposition, 1915. Lovely Silk Souvenir Handkerchief. Red on silvery off white, the effect being red and not quite pink. Central view of the "Tower of Jewels,"with scrolled banner above: "Panama Pacific International Exposition. San Francisco, 1915." Additionally, sprays of flowers woven into the borders, and a kneeling allegorical figure in each corner. Bandana about 19" square, in original (now tattered) paper envelope. Silk clean and extremely fine in appearance, but is cracking at the creases, and so in need of conservation. Nevertheless a rare and desirable survival.
