Panama-Pacific International Exposition, 1915. A Fair Amount of Paraphernalia. Some fun odds 'n' ends. Included are: a pair of opening day badges. The bars marked "Participant," on blue, orange, and red ribbon, on gold and stars 'n' stripes-edged badge: "Admit One, Opening Day, Feb. 20, 1915." And by way of contrast, a closing day admittance badge, the bar marked, "Good-Bye," on blue and white ribbon dated Dec. 4, 1915, with badge showing well-dressed lady waving a hankie at the Fair. Another smaller badge, in full color, emphasizing the theme of ships pouring the through the newly opened Panama Canal. Also, a silver-plated soup spoon with scene of Canal, California State Seal, and a view of the Fair on the handle. A embossed copper frying pan-shaped ashtray, featuring the "Tower of Jewels,"with globe and California poppies at the fore. A celluloid letter opener from the California Fruit Canners Association, exhorting the Grand Prize ribbon Del Monte won at the Fair ("Fruits of Victory!"). Also, a flat "stitching needle," an advertising souvenir from Singer Sewing Company. And last, from the Pan-American Exposition of 1901, a little pewter shot cup(?), with running buffalo as its emblem. Sizes: 1-1/4" - 9". A pleasant group, but should be examined. Most show some to noticeable use. Two of the badge ribbons have fraying. Lot of 9 pieces.
