Columbian World's Fair, Chicago, 1892-1893. Souvenir Coin in Aluminum, with Photo Miniature of Admission Ticket. Lot of two. The coins identical, with three-quarter facing bust of the explorer, and recessed inset on reverse to hold photo image. The albumin prints differing -- one of ticket having Lincoln's portrait, the other with that of Columbus. The clear glassy coverings over the photos have not yellowed, so are likely thin sheets of mica. The coins are quite pristine, showing little signs of handling. Diameters: 2". Lot of 2.
