Lot 1229

Columbian World's Fair, Chicago, 1892-1893. Lot of Two Rolled Out Coins. One a seated Liberty dime, the other a V-Nickel. Each of the now oval planchets with raised inscription, in three lines: "COLUMBIAN / 1893 / EXPOSITION." The roll outs are in very fine to extremely fine condition, and lightly toned. Widths: 30 mm., 33 mm. Lot of 2 coins.

The nickel still shows a date of 1893. Coin collectors will note with dismay that the dime is dated 1853, no arrows, which has a value today, if even only in fine condition, of $90! We note a similar dime, recently offered, of common date, and valued at $125-$250!!
Estimated Value $100 - 150.

Realized $58
