Columbian World's Fair, Chicago, 1892-1893. Another Pair of Lovely Framed Silk Ribbons or Bookmarks. On white ground, beneath Fair's emblem, black and white portrait of the corsage-drape bust of Mrs. Potter Palmer, and scene of Women's building at bottom. The second, in black, blue, red, gold, and yellow, has the 400th Anniversary of Columbus' landing, with the appropriate scene below. Colors generally vivid and clean, but first ribbon with some yellowing and minor losses at both ends. The second with some light soiling and overall light yellowing. Both nicely framed under glass. Length of largest: 11-1/2"; Framed Size: 14-1/4" x 5-1/4". Attractive pair. Lot of 2. Cf. Rossen & Kaduck, p. 53, no. 3, and p. 59, no. 4.
