Trade Dollar. 1879. NGC graded Proof 63 Cameo. Steel gray and gold in color on the obverse, similar on the reverse save for a vibrant aqua blue and lavender splash from the eagle's right wing to the rim above. Moderate hairlines can be seen in the fields, and these seem to account for the grade. Strong contrast, enough so to win the coveted "cameo" designation from NGC.
