$5 Liberty. 1840-C. PCGS graded AU-58. A marvelous high grade example of this most difficult Charlotte mint issue. Lovely golden-orange in color, the strike is full and complete with surfaces that still retain considerable semi-reflective mint luster. PCGS reports but 2 in this grade with only 1 graded better (MS-62). (PCGS # 8196) .
