Trajan, 98-117 AD. Syria, Lot of Eleven Antiocene AR Tetradrachms. Lot includes two types. From 103-111 AD.: Bust of Trajan right, above eagle / Herakles head right (SNG Cop. 192, 193), eight examples. And three examples of: Bust of Trajan right, above eagle, club to left / Tyche seated on rocks right (SNG Cop. 194 var.). All generally well centered on flans of good metal. A good variety of Herakles portraits seen -- from handsome and refined, to bull-necked and bestial. Lot of 11. Coins average Fine.
