Ancient Rome. Nice Lot of Three AE Aes, c. 37-192 AD. Nice beginner or vest pocket dealer material. Earliest perhaps, Agrippa, d. 12 BC., struck under Caligula: Head left, wearing rostral crown / Poseidon; RIC 58. Next, Caligula, 37-41 AD; Bare head left / Vesta seated left; RIC 38. And last, Commodus, 177-192 AD.: Bust right, as Hercules, clad in lion's skin / Inscription and upright club, all within wreath; RIC 644. Agrippa with handsome portrait and fine deep green patina; the reverse a little rough. Caligula cleaned; light smoothing to fields on reverse. Commodus perfectly centered on slightly smallish flan, with nice variegated green patina. Lot of 3 coins. Caligula Very Fine, rest somewhat better.
