Pescennius Niger, 193-194 AD. AR Denarius, Caesarea, struck 193 AD. Rare and choice! Laureate head right. Reverse: Victory alighting left, holding wreath and palm. RIC 81f; RSC 76a. Sharp, bold portrait, struck on astoundingly good metal, with less of the usual striking problems. Faintly toned and very lustrous. Essentially as struck. Superb Extremely Fine.
