Persis Kingdom. Ardeshir II, c. 50-1 BC. Interesting AR Drachm Lot. Interesting pair. Lot of 2 coins, each with: Bearded, draped bust of king left, wearing crenellated crown. Reverse: Figure left, holding barsom sticks before lit altar. Alram 570 var. First with reverse legend different to those published by Alram. Second coin overstruck on Parthian drachm, likely that Phraates III. Both with fine portraits. Reverses towards edges, but mostly complete. Lot of 2 coins. First, about Extremely Fine; second, a nice Very Fine.
