Lot 1189
Pontos, c. 2nd-1st century BC. Lot of Seven Assorted Bronzes. Excellent material for the beginner. Another handsome group similar to previous lot. But here an additional AE 29-30 mm.: Head of Athena right / Perseus holding head of Medusa, from Komana (SGC 3656). And from Amaseia instead: AE 28 mm., Zeus head / Eagle (von Aulock 6694). And lastly, the AE 20 mm., Helmeted head of Ares / Sword in sheath, from Chabakta (SCG 3654). All carefully cleaned and nicely patinated. An attractive group overall. Lot of 7 coins. Coins range from Very Fine to about Extremely Fine.
