Thrace, Dynasts of. Koson, c. Mid 1st century BC. Gold Stater (8.43 g). Togate Roman Consul walking left, accompanied by two Lictors; BR monogram at left. Reverse: Eagle standing left on scepter, holding wreath. RPC I 1701; BMC p. 208, 2; BMCRR p. 474, 48. Obverse die showing wear, the strike on that side a little uneven. Lustrous. Extremely Fine.
