German States - Ratzeburg. 3 Talers, ND (Ca. 1633). Dav-Son-126; Fiala-7, 431; Welter-879; Duve S.77/78,1. 85.62 grams. August of Brunswick Luneburg, 1610-1636. Duke on horseback to the right. Reverse: Fortune standing with sail in hands, battle scene behind. Fields cleaned with light tooling and a wash of gilt. Certainly an interesting bare it all designed multiple whose gender has been enhanced. Very Rare. Very Fine.
