China - Taiwan Province (Formosa). Ration Silver Dollar, ND (1862). K-4. A vase that will collect treasure with three characters "Never ending source" Two characters left and right "Military Ration". Four characters below "Pure pattern, for general circulation". Reverse: Two crossed writing brushes, lotus and other symbols. Two characters left and right "Prefectural Treasury" and characters below indicating the weight. This specimen is virtually as struck with the official chopmark and only a few other chopmarks. Nice even grayish toning. Very Rare. Choice Very Fine.
