1879-CC. Capped die. PCGS graded MS-64. This is one of the key dates to the Morgan silver dollar series, and this coin is far finer than normally encountered, with the near gem level preservation. Outstanding surfaces are the rule, and the CC mintmark is bold despite this being one of the commonly seen "Capped Die" examples from this mint. Examination of this coin leads one to state that it a masterpiece! Worthy of any advanced collection and a prize for the specialist. A frosty white example with unending visual appeal.
