Ancient Rome. Lot of Four AR Antoniniani, c. 238-249 AD. Pleasant beginner's lot. All antoniniani with radiate busts right. Included are, Gordian III, 238-244 AD: Victory advancing left, RIC 5; Laetitia holding anchor, RIC 86; plus an AE Sesterius, Felicitas left, RIC 328a. Philip I, 244-249 AD: Pax advancing left, RIC 41. And Philip II, 247-249 AD: Philip II holding standard and spear, RIC 220b (R1); plus an AE 30 mm., from Cyrrhestica, Atergates riding lion right, BMC 61. All nicely centered, with various tones and surfaces. Lot of 6. Bronzes Fine, silver Very Fine and better.
