Ancient Rome. Lot of Eight AR's, "Age of the Good Emperors," c. 98-180 AD. Earliest, Trajan, 98-117 AD, Denarius: Victory seated left, c. 98-100 AD. Hadrian, 117-138 AD, Denarius: Pax left, 119-138 AD; plus two Hemidrachms from Caesarea, Cappadocia: Upright club, and Victory flying right. Plus, AE Sestertius: Hadrian clasping hands with Roma, C. 82 (scarce); plus, AE 20 mm of Antioch: SC in wreath; BMC 290. A Denarius of Antoninus Pius, 138-161 AD: Tranquilitas right; RIC 218 (scarce). Denarius of Diva Faustina (Sr.):Venus; RIC 366. Marcus Aurelius, 161-180 AD, Denarius: Salus left; BMCRE 494. Lastly, a Denarius of Lucius Verus, 161-169 AD: Aequitas seated left; C. 318. Various surfaces and toning. The hemidrachms, one chipped, one corroded. Lot of 10 coins. Coins range from about Fine to Very Fine.
