Ancient Rome. Lot of Five AE & AR Coins, c. 98-276 AD. Good, varied material. Included are three AR Denarii: Trajan, 98-117 AD, Victory left reverse (C. 242); Hadrian, 117-138 AD, Victory seated left reverse (C. 362); and Geta, as Caesar, Minerva left reverse (RIC 30, scarce!). Also, Salonina, 253-268 AD, AE 31 (10 Assaria), from Side, with Diana within temple reverse (BMC 124). Last, silvered Antoninianus of Florian, 276 AD, with Sol and Providence holding standards reverse. Varied tones and surfaces, the Salonina with fine deep olive patina. Some good portraits. Lot of 5 coins. Coins from Choice Very Fine to Extremely Fine.
