Persia. Achaemenid Kings, c. 400-350 BC. Gold Daric (8.30 g). Persian king or hero in kneeling-running pose, holding bow and weighted spear. Reverse: Irregular incuse punch. BMC p. 159, 84 ("Darius III, Babylon"); Carradice Type IV, 50, 51. Well struck, with nearly complete devices on fairly round flan. In good classicizing style. Very Fine plus.
