Cilicia. Tarsos. Mazaios, Satrap, 361-334 BC. AR Stater (10.7 g). Baaltars enthroned left, head facing, holding scepter in one hand, and grape cluster, grain ear, and eagle in other; "Baaltars" in Aramaic at right. Reverse: Lion bringing down bull to left, king's name above in Aramaic. SNG Levante 105 var.; SNG France 331. Obverse a bit off center and a trifle softly struck from moderately worn die, otherwise, sharp and lustrous, with russet to pale gray toning. Nearly Mint State, as struck.
