Pamphylia. Aspendos, c. 370-333 BC. AR Tetradrachm (10.9 g). Two wrestlers grappling, FI below. Reverse: Slinger to right about to cast, triskeles in right field, ethnic at left. SNG von Aulock --; SNG Cop --; cf. SNG France 96 (but with additional inscription beneath wrestlers). The wrestlers a little off center, but well struck up, so too the attractive slinger. Lightly toned with much luster. A very good specimen for this series in which the quality of striking is very variable. Extremely Fine.
