Caria. Island of Rhodes, c. 304-189 BC. AR Tetradrachm (13.5 g). Radiate head of Helios three-quarters facing. Reverse: Rose in full bloom, with bud to right; ethnic above, magistrate's name below, ship's prow at left. BMC 129; Dewing 2402. Perfectly centered. Lightly toned with golden luster on obverse. A showy example. Choice Very Fine.
