Aegina. Island of Aegina, c. 510-485 BC. AR Drachm (5.6 g). Top view of smooth-shelled sea turtle, with heavy collar and row of dots on spine. Reverse: Incuse square with skew pattern, divided into five sections. Dewing 1622. Sharp strike, on good metal, although with usual slight granularity. Old collection toning. Fine plus.
