Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III, the Great, 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.2 g), "Amphipolis mint," c. 336-323 BC. Head of youthful Herakles right, wearing lion's skin. Reverse: Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle and scepter, Paladium at below left. Price 109. Sharp strike. Stylish for series, with attractive iridescent toning. Very Fine, the obverse better.
