1893 $5 Liberty. PCGS graded Proof 64 Deep Cameo. According the PCGS online Population Report, this is the only Deep Cameo graded of the date 1893. A sparse 77 were coined for the numismatists of two centuries ago, and this is certainly one of the most beautiful to survive. The deep cameo is especially desirable, as the devices are piled high with mint frost, and the fields seem to fall away from the coin with their well mirrored perfection. There are some trivial hairlines in the delicate fields, which are expected on these early proofs, as virtually all have been lightly wiped with a cloth or examined while on a velvet tray. During these times, tiny particles of dust get pressed into the fields or dragged across the surfaces, causing these tiny lines, which slightly reduce the grade. If you want a coin with superb eye appeal, and rich orange gold color, then take a look at this near gem to see if it suits you. In PCGS holder #50003487.
Estimated Value $12,500 - 15,000.

Realized $13,225
