Lot 3646
1883-CC $5 Liberty. NGC graded AU-58. A tough date to locate in higher grades, particularly in mint state! This one just missed that grade, and the surfaces show minor circulation on the high points, and a fair amount of luster in the fields. We note some minor pin scratches between the 83 of the date, and light coppery gold colors on both sides. Sharp for the mint, with no signs of weakness on the curls or eagle. NGC has graded 19 this high, and importantly just 3 higher.
