Lot 1564
Cooper, Samuel. Clipped signature and rank ("S. Cooper / Adjutant General") mounted and framed with chest-portrait cdv, matted and framed to 8¾ x 8½". The signature obviously closes a letter: "Your Obt Servt," precedes the signature and rank and a small amount of text is visible through the paper. There is a horizontal crease between the closing and signature, and two small spots of foxing that do not affect the text; the overall condition is fine. The cdv shows some minor toning and very faint foxing, but is in otherwise fine condition.
