Lot 433

Front and Back Examples of Misalignments. $5 1950A FRN s/n D56599926A PMG 64 EPQ Choice Unc with back illustrating a Type II error with a portion of the bottom note showing and a $5 1977A s/n H50480215A PMG 65 EPQ Gem Unc with a sliver of the bottom note showing on the face. Estimated Value $500 - 800
A great way to illustrate how the BEP can create what is known as a Type II note, both on the front and the back. Don't under-estimate how rare the 1950A note is. As time goes on collectors are realizing that errors from the 1950 to 1950E series just don't show up very often at auction. The deep bold green ink on the reverse of this piece is truly striking.

Realized $300
