Documented Order of A. Suvorov 3rd Class. Type 1. Award # 285. Silver. Type 1, var. 1, on rectangular suspension, with a pin. Comes with Order’s (other awards listed in the book are missing). Awarded to Guards Major Chuhaev A.P. by decree of August 3, 1943. At the time of awarding, comrade Chuhaev was serving as commander of 79th Guards Assault Air Regiment, 2nd Guards Air Division. According to citation, this order of Suvorov 3rd class was bestowed upon comrade Chuhaev for skillful command of his regiment and personal bravery during areal battles on the Central front in summer of 1943, including during the battle of Kursk.
