Decree to the Imperial Chapter for the issuance of Orders. One page, folio, St. Petersburg, March 29, 1825. Written in ink in neat, secretarial hand, the decree says: â€Due to the testimony of His Royal Highness, the Commander-in-Chief of Communications, Duke Alexander of Württemberg in regard to the excellent diligence and activity of Colonel Baron Meyendorff†and Captain Bestuzhev, We award Meyendorff the Order of St. Vladimir 3rd Class, and Bestuzhev the Order of St. Anne 3rd Class. We command the Chapter to deliver to them the letters and badge of those Ordersâ€. The emperor signs with a flourish below. Estimated Value $1,500 - UP
