Rare Pahlavi, Patinated Brass Shield with Intricate Detailing of the Royal Pahlavi Crown as well as the Shir Khorshid, Lion & Sun Emblem. Rare Pahlavi patinated brass shield created for as a commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Pahlavi Empire. The royal crown and Lion & Son emblem are exquisitely engraved as is the spectacularly complex foliate border. There are numerous cheap imitations on the internet, but one can clearly see the difference between copies and this exceptional piece. 16 x 12" and in exceptional condition.
