Choice, Ancient Byzantine Period High Karat Yellow Gold Ring with Engraved Saints 6th-7th Century AD with Near Octagonal Shaped Band. Beautiful example of high karat yellow gold ancient Byzantine ring. The engravings of two saints have remarkable detail, with one having a slight silver wash to the garment. The flat bezel is mounted on a slightly askew octagonal shaped band adding immeasurably to the appeal. A museum quality piece perfect for any level of collector. 4.45 grams and a size 6¼.
