Near Eastern, Eye Idol Carved of Hard Greystone ca. 3000 BC. Small eye idol from Ancient Near East roughly 4000-3000 BC, in modern day Syria. They appear to have been offerings deposited in certain areas, but the true meaning or function of these artefacts remains undetermined. 24¾ x 22½ mm and weighs 10.4 grams. This could easily be made into a pendant and prove quite striking. Estimated Value $400 - 600
