Fine Apulian Bell Krater with Nude Winged Eros Extending an Offering to a Maiden Holding a Thyrsus and Patera ca. 4th Century BC. Ancient Greece, Magna Graecia, South Italy, Apulian, ca. 4th century BCE. Apulian bell krater 11 x 12.5 x 12.5". A nude winged Eros extends an offering to a maiden, beautifully rendered, holding a thyrsus and patera. On the verso, two standing, toga clad, youthful men, one with a staff. Both scenes decorated with palmettos and laurels with a geometric border encircling just below. Complete and expertly restored. A fine piece that displays beautifully. Estimated Value $2,000 - 3,000
