Joe Coleman: Man of Sorrows and Wolverine Woo-Bait. R. Crumb: "The R. Crumb Handbook", "Sweet Side of R. Crumb" & "Vue de Sauve" (Signed). Collection of two infamous (some say notorious) graphic artists, authors and iconoclasts:
Joe Coleman: "The Joe Coleman Portfolio" (1977) with ten (10) works (8 x 10") printed on heavy stock plus the cover. Overall toning to folio but prints are in superior condition. Illustrations are subversively hilarious and provocative. Two copies "The Mystery of Woolverine Woo-Bait" (1982) oversized graphic short story, over the top illustrations and story involving politics, zombies, monsters and "cutting" humor. (covers have minor wear.) "Man of Sorrows" limited edition hardback of 2000, this being an artist's proof "AP". Fine copy with a ding two lower right board and first three page tips, illustrations fine.
Robert Crumb: Two (2) copies, First Edition folios of "Vue de Sauve", 8 detailed prints of his home in the South of France, all quite charming. Crumb has signed in pencil R. Crumb on both folios. Superb copy of "The Sweet Side of R. Crumb" Limited Edition 116/250 Signed and Dated R. Crumb 2000. Clean copy with CD of the R. Crumb Handbook. Estimated Value $400 - 600
From the Collection of Jonathan Shaw, Artist, Author, Legendary Tattoo Artist.
