Leora Laor. Image of Light #12. Israeli photographer, Leora Laor is a master of using a digital video camera and isolating a single frame photographed during twilight hours or at night. Her figures stand out clearly in the light but the backgrounds are dark shadows combined with intense color, creating an expressive atmosphere. Laor created a suite of chromogenic prints this entitled Images of Light #12. Here a single black silhouette of a woman is placed against a red-hued backdrop brilliantly expressing a solitude that borders on the sublime. Digital C print measures and is spectacularly well framed in a heavy deep rosewood frame that compliments Leora's striking work. Estimated Value $800 - 1,500
