Xavier Cugat. "Pet Peeves". (1900-1990) Spanish musician and bandleader who was the resident orchestra at the Waldorf-Astoria for 16 years, ushering in great popularity not only in music but also as a cartoonist for the Los Angeles Times, a restaurateur of Mexican food in West Hollywood for over 25 years and famously performed in eight films.
But he also painted, many times for friends or decorate his venues. Offered is a wonderful hand-signed vintage serigraph on canvas from the early 1970s with original COA. Cugat has painted his human characters very much mirroring their pets and the result is magic. Canvas has been professionally stretched, 15 x 30" on wood frame, the artwork is in excellent condition. Perfect for any small animal clinic, the people that care for them and certainly for millions of pet owners. Estimated Value $400 - 600
