Etienne Ret. Two Original Watercolors. (1900-1996) Born in France, Etienne Ret began painting at a young age and became quite popular in France and London through the late 1920s to the mid-1930s. He moved to Hollywood in 1934 and lived there until the 1950s returning to Europe. He was an active member of the California Watercolor Society with collections of his works at the San Diego Museum; De Young Museum; Pasadena Art Instittute; Santa Barbara Museum.
Offered are two of his original watercolors both untitled works:
1.) A topless woman in deeply satisfying sleep. 13 x 15" in mat measuring 17 x 20" In fine condition signed and dated in upper right "Etienne Paris '57"
2.) Spectacularly colorful fantasia of flowers and motherhood. 25½ x 15½ and signed in upper left Etienne Paris '77

Both in fine condition. Estimated Value $300 - 500
