Jefferson Davis (1808-1899) handwritten letter to Confederate Senator from Texas, Louis Wigfall, soliciting his advice promoting Col. Robinson or other Texas Brigade Colonels to the rank of Brigadier General. Letter is one page dated Nov. 1, 1862 with a light creasing along old folds on blue paper. Excellent condition.
