Lot 424

32 15th Century Incunabula, Beautifully Archived Collection Each With Author's Name, Printer, Location, Year Published, References and Notes. Excellent collection of 15th Century incunabula whether a book, pamphlet, or broadside that was printed in the earliest stages of printing in Europe, up to the year 1500. This collection runs from 1474 to 1500. All are in very fine condition with many being quite choice. The consignor enjoyed thoroughly cataloguing these pieces, researching them and then creating a fact sheet for each one. Most are contained in leather bound folio but the larger pieces are sleeved in a stay-flat. Authors include: Saint Augustine, Lombardus, Capreolus, Durand, Lacantius, Biblia Latina, Forentinus, Merula, Ebendorfer, Passau, and more. Many of the pieces have beautiful accent colors and design as well as a myriad of fonts. Very much worth previewing in person. Estimated Value $300 - 500
From the Collection of Carol & Richard Basler.
