Collection of Rare Engravings 17th Century-19th Century. 1.) Bavaria from the 1621 publication of Gerard Mercator's "Atlas Minor" in outstanding condition, with hand tinted colors 8 x 9½", beautifully matted and framed in gilt wood to 15 x 17". From Bibliographicum Heidelberg.
2.) "Various Dresses of the Indians of North America with their Weapons of War": Interesting engraving published in 1780 illustrating the costumes, weapons and other items used by North American Indians. The tribes identified include the Chippewa and the Naudowessie. Likely from "A New and Complete Collection of Voyages and Travels". 8½ x 12" matted and framed to 14 x 17½" with frame and engraving in excellent condition.
3.) Two Copper Engravings of Flowers by Maund (1824) one large by Sansom for Curtis (1792) Beautiful hand-tinted engravings of ranunculus, dahlia and phlomis. 9 x 6" and 3 x 4 all matted. From Bibliographicum, Heidelberg. Estimated Value $300 - 600
