Virgil "Gus" Grisham Astronaut Command Pilot of Mercury 4, Gemini 3 and Apollo 1 Signed Check Dated 20 Feb, 1964 (1926-1967) Celebrated pilot and astronaut who was assigned to three different programs at NASA; Project Mercury, Gemini and Apollo. Grissom, commander of AS-204 (Apollo 1), died along with his fellow astronauts Ed White and Roger B. Chaffee on January 27, 1967, during a pre-launch test for the Apollo 1. Posthumously, Grisham has been awarded countless honors, enshrined at numerous memorial sites and buildings bearing his name. Offered is a signed customer draft to a jewelry company dated Feb. 20, 1964 drawn from First Pasadena (Texas) State Bank to National Bank of Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio.
