Jackie Roosevelt Robinson: Near Mint, Signed 3 x 5" Card, a Very Desirable Format for Autograph Collectors and Sports Enthusiasts. JSA Authenticated (1919-1972) Robinson became the first African American to play in Major League Baseball in the modern era. Robinson broke the baseball color line when he started at first base for the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15, 1947. Jackie Robinson's cultural impact on the 20th Century is well documented not only as an athlete having been inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1962, but as an icon for African Americans and Civil Rights advocates during an extraordinarily difficult and racially polarized America.
Offered is a virtually mint, autographed 3 x 5" signed card by # 42, Jackie Robinson in blue ball point pen. Letter of Authenticity by James Spence & Associates which authenticates the inscription and the autograph. Estimated Value $4,000 - 6,000
