1879 Liberty Seated Dime. PCGS graded Proof 67. Reddish gold at the centers and enhanced by ocean deep blue along the edge. Superb color throughout and worthy of the finest collection. Sharply struck and nearly perfect. We note one tiny reeding mark on Liberty's leg, hidden on her drapery. PCGS has graded 7 this high, with none higher, making this one of the very finest known of the date.
Estimated Value $2,800 - 3,200.
From the Benson collection and purchased from James Macallister on March 31, 1944 as part of a set from 1858 to 1915 for $195.00.

Realized $4,600
