1875 Liberty Seated Dime. PCGS graded Proof 64. Well struck by the dies and superbly toned by decades in the slightly sulfered Wayte Raymond holders. Such colors must be seen to be appreciated, as their vibrancy defies description, and challenges even our superb photographer to capture the subtle nuances of the rainbow. If only all PR-64s could look like this! Throw away the "bid sheets" on this one if you want a chance to capture this prize. PCGS notes 44 graded this high, with 20 graded higher.
Estimated Value $400 - 500.
From the Benson collection and purchased from James Macallister on March 31, 1944 as part of a set from 1858 to 1915 for $195.00.

Realized $1,208
