Lot 534

1869 Liberty Seated Dime. PCGS graded Proof 63. Superb toning and well preserved throughout. We note minor hairlines, although they are not readily apparent. Weakness is noted on the upper left of the wreath on a few of the wheat grains. As with virtually all of the Benson coins, we would not be surprised to see this resubmitted to the grading services for a higher grade. Only 600 were struck, and few look as pretty as this little jewel.
Estimated Value $275 - 325.
From the Benson collection and purchased from James Macallister on March 31, 1944 as part of a set from 1858 to 1915 for $195.00.

Realized $546
