Lot 1876

1864 $1 Gold Indian. PCGS graded MS-68. One of the finest graded of the date, and entire series, for that matter! The surfaces are pristine, and show virtually no signs of contact with other coins. Rich with blazing luster, and the surfaces are a pleasing yellow gold color. Fully struck for this date, with no signs of weakness on either side. Struck from a lightly clashed obverse die, with outlines from the wreath seen in the fields. PCGS has graded 3 this high, with a single coin graded higher from the original mintage of just 5,900 pieces.
Estimated Value $17,000 - 22,000.

Realized $18,975
