Lot 1573

1973-S. PCGS graded Proof 68. Toned with stunning dark blue in rings around the periphery, and fading to gold then yellow tones towards the center, with an untoned area on Eisenhower's neck. Similar on the reverse, with vibrant blue, gold, more blue, rust, and gold tones in rings around the edge, bright at the center on the eagle. A superb coin too, with a near perfect PR-68 grade from PCGS, and in an old green insert holder, the type that was used about ten years ago by PCGS. If you love toned wonder coins, and missed out on the jewel we offered a few sales ago, then here is another opportunity to buy a spectacular toned example. This is the rare low mintage date in silver, which has always brought a good premium over more common date proofs.
Estimated Value $500-UP.
